The Opportunity

MetLife is seeking a dynamic, analytical, and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who possess strong financial acumen and a passion for leveraging data to drive business performance. The successful candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the Business Analyst will analyze financial and operational performance, develop meaningful reports and dashboards, identify trends, and recommend solutions that contribute to organizational growth and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence key business decisions while playing a pivotal role in continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

 


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly profit & loss (P&L) valuation reports, including management commentary for senior leadership
  • Support annual budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Develop portfolio analysis, profit share, and loss ratio reports for regional and head office stakeholders
  • Manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and data validation
  • Report monthly performance metrics for Employee Benefits Operations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Financial Reporting & Analysis (FRA) reports
  • Calculate Group and Credit Life production and profit share reserves
  • Analyze benefit ratios by reviewing P&L statements
  • Report Egypt’s Group and Credit Life Annualized New Premiums (ANP) to the regional team
  • Reconcile accounting and operations reports to ensure data integrity
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards for internal stakeholders
  • Deliver ad-hoc reports and insights upon request
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports and data in line with service level agreements (SLAs)

Required Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or business operations.
  • Background in insurance or financial services is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI .
  • Experience in preparing management reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of operational performance metrics and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
