The Opportunity

The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role across the data and analytics lifecycle by translating business needs into clear functional requirements, analyzing data in the context of business processes, and supporting the design and delivery of scalable data and analytics solutions. This role requires strong SQL, data profiling, validation, cloud, and data warehousing knowledge, along with the ability to partner with architecture, engineering, governance, quality, and business teams. The individual will be expected to solve wide-ranging business problems, communicate insights effectively, and help ensure that data solutions are accurate, reliable, well-documented, and aligned with enterprise standards


Key Responsibilities
  • Understand business requirements to author functional requirements documents to develop and deliver production grade data and analytics solutions.
  • Solve complex business problems using data and advanced technologies
  • Analyze data in the context of business processes, business and functional requirements
  • Provide relevant inputs to data architecture, engineering, governance, modeling, quality and data science teams
  • Validate the data loaded by the engineering team
  • Provide people leadership: coach, develop and engage talent
  • Independently lead design, solutioning & estimations
  • Collaborate with global teams including offshore resources to deliver and support data engineering solutions

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or related role
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data profiling, data quality validation, and data storage and retrieval principles.
  • Hands-on experience working with both relational databases (RDBMS) and document databases.
  • Experience designing and supporting data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes, including Medallion architecture frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and their application in data and analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services domain
  • Exposure to Data modeling tools such as Erwin Databricks, serverless SQL, Data Governance, and Data Quality
  • Exposure to Gen AI technology and tools. 
  • Any relevant Azure / Cloud platform certification
  • Follow enterprise quality, security, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Operate in Agile delivery cycles and contribute to planning, estimation, demos, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clear documentation, reusable patterns, and knowledge-sharing materials for sustainable delivery.
  • Support onsite/offshore handoffs, delivery governance, status reporting, and issue escalation across time zones.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
