Product Owner – Sales CRM & Workflow

Summary

We’re looking for a Product Owner with strong experience in sales operations, broker engagement, and customer relationship management to lead Agile teams in delivering Sales CRM and Workflow initiatives. This role is a great fit for someone who understands how sales teams operate, the complexity of broker relationships, and the importance of renewal cycles. You’ll take that business knowledge and turn it into clear priorities for Agile delivery teams. You’ll be responsible for shaping functionality that supports sales planning, renewal tracking, customer health visibility, and new business intakes. A solid understanding of CRM platforms will help you connect business needs with technology solutions and guide the team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Sales-Focused Product Leadership

  • Own and prioritize the backlog for Sales Teams features that directly support sales planning, renewal tracking, and broker engagement.
  • Partner closely with sales stakeholders to understand real-world challenges, define business scenarios, and shape solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with GB360’s vision of a unified sales experience and a 360° view of customers and brokers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent the voice of the sales organization within the Agile team, advocating for the needs of field teams, regional consultants, and business owners.
  • Facilitate ongoing feedback loops with sales leadership to validate features and adjust priorities based on evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with service and workflow teams to ensure smooth handoffs and full visibility across the customer journey.

Agile Delivery and Execution

  • Lead Agile ceremonies and maintain a well-groomed backlog of actionable, clearly defined stories.
  • Make informed trade-off decisions and proactively remove blockers to keep delivery aligned with program increment goals.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement to maximize value and reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, sales operations, or broker relationship management, ideally within insurance, financial services, or group benefits.
  • Strong understanding of sales workflows, renewal cycles, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with SAFe is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge business needs and technical execution.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience collaborating with CRM teams or contributing to CRM platform enhancements.
  • Familiarity with MetLife’s Group Benefits ecosystem or similar domains.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, including how it supports sales planning, broker engagement, and customer lifecycle management
  • Working knowledge of Targetprocess, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms for Agile work item tracking, backlog management, and enterprise delivery coordination
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $127,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
