You will be joining the MarTech team within the Global Enterprise Platforms department at MetLife. This team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our marketing technology platforms. The MarTech team plays a crucial role in driving the success of our marketing technology initiatives and enhancing our digital presence.
The Opportunity:
The Release Manager is responsible for ensuring the health and performance of MarTech platforms through effective monitoring and troubleshooting across multiple environments. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth and timely deployments, and facilitate communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful release outcomes. You will have the chance to optimize system performance and reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The Jr. Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for overseeing the release management process and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases across multiple environments.
- Create and maintain automated tools for system monitoring and alerting.
- Oversee the health and performance of MarTech platforms through effective monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Manage change tickets, review documentation, and guide teams through change advisory board (CAB) calls and operational readiness reviews (ORRs).
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of MarTech platforms.
- Coordinate communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful release outcomes.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in release management and familiarity with release management tools and processes.
- Familiarity with system architecture, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience in reliability engineering or a similar role.
- Experience with AEM, Adobe Campaign, Brand Portal, Cloud Manager, Azure pipeline deployments, and AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and monitoring.
