The Opportunity 

The Business Procedures & Technology Consultant will serve as a strategic partner responsible for introducing and operationalizing technology platforms and AI-driven solutions to transform Government Relations into a data-driven, technology-enabled function. This role will lead the implementation of technology adoption strategies that support legislative, regulatory and political activities, ensure seamless integration with business processes and drive execution across global markets. The position will champion innovation, governance and compliance while fostering a culture of digital fluency and accountability.  The position will report to the Head of the Center of Excellence and Strategic Initiatives. 

This position is a limited duration position that is expected to run for approximately two years, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the selection, customization and operationalizing technology-enabled solutions that are tailored for Government Relations and Regulatory workflows. 
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports to ensure operational goals are met and works closely with the leadership to roll out these plans. 
  • Introduce tools for predictive analytics, legislative monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Oversee lifecycle management, including risk assessments, architecture reviews, and responsible use standards.  
  • Identify KPIs to measure technology impact on advocacy outcomes and operational efficiency.  
  • Implement frameworks for ethical AI use, transparency, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):   

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience. 
  • Bachelor’s or tech-related degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field. 
  • Proven track record in technology implementation and experience with emerging AI integration at scale. 
  • Expertise in digital transformation, data governance, and emerging technologies. 
  • Strong stakeholder management, time management and organization capabilities.  

Preferred: 

  • Thorough familiarity with AI and other digital tools applicable to government relations, public policy and risk management, including the ability to select products, introduce and adopt them and train other team members. 
  • Understanding of the financial services industry.  
  • Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible 
  • Self-motivated to learn more about MetLife business and is proactive in personal development. 
  • Ability to balance client expectations with MetLife capabilities and understand the impact both administratively and financially  


Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $89,700 - $119,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
