The Opportunity

The Audit Manager leads quality audits and successfully delivers commitments, while modeling the MetLife success principles and contributing to department strategy and activities. The role blends strategy, relationship management, audit project management, and learning and development. This position will have a primary focus on Reinsurance, an area of growth within MetLife. This role extensively collaborates with other audit team members and builds relationships with business and audit stakeholders. The Audit Manager acts as an overall project manager and defines scope, timelines, and success during the audit project's life cycle. This role supervises and coaches Auditors to ensure individual work and collective teamwork meets agreed upon standards.

 

How You'll Help Us Build A Confident Future

  • Support Audit Team Leader in executing against the audit plan
  • Effectively lead large-scale and high-profile projects which involve review of complex operational, financial, and informational systems' controls
  • Contribute to Audit Universe risking and planning activities
  • Manage audit lifecycle activities via effective project management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day audit activities
  • Ensure individual work and collective teamwork meets agreed upon standards

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • 6+ years of audit or relevant business experience including prior audit management experience required
  • Specialized audit or related business certification a plus (CIA, CPA, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of insurance industry, regulations, and products; understanding of reinsurance preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; sound business judgment
  • Proficient understanding of project management tools and techniques
  • Proficient understanding of generally accepted audit standards, sampling/testing methodologies, and risk assessment
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $105,200 to $140,100. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
