Role Value Proposition:

The GG8 Data Scientist is an entrylevel role designed for earlycareer analytical talent. This position supports the full data and analytics lifecycle under close guidance from senior colleagues. The role contributes to productiongrade data science solutions while developing strong foundational skills in analytics, machine learning, data preparation, LLMbased analysis, and business understanding. The role also provides exposure to modern AIaugmented workflows, including foundation model adaptation and responsible AI practices.

 

Objectives of This Role:

  • Build core analytical and machine learning fundamentals through handson project work.
  • Support the development, validation, and deployment of analytics and machine learning models.
  • Learn to interpret analytical outputs and communicate clear business insights.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of LLM concepts, prompt engineering, RAG workflows, and AI governance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • With supervision, participate in basic analytical tasks and project assignments.
  • Learn and contribute to the development of simple machine learning solutions.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering activities.
  • Support preparation of datasets, model development, evaluation, and deployment tasks.
  • Under guidance, design, build, validate, and deploy productiongrade rulebased and machine learning models using structured and unstructured data.
  • Assist with adapting or finetuning foundation models and large language models for internal use cases.
  • Use AI copilots and AIaugmented tooling to accelerate analysis and validate generated outputs for accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate model performance and document findings.
  • Ensure development follows quality, security, compliance, explainability, and responsible AI guidelines.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or related quantitative domains (internships or academic projects acceptable).
  • Technical skills in Python, statistics, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and modeling.
  • Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as scikitlearn, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch.
  • Exposure to NLP tools such as spaCy, Transformers, and/or OCR technologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and structured problemsolving skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Introductory experience with Generative AI concepts, including prompting, embeddings, vector stores, and RAG workflows.
  • Ability to work with AI copilots and AIaugmented development environments.
  • Portfolio of academic, internship, or personal data science projects is a plus.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $65,050 to $83,600. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
