The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing broker relationships while serving as the primary service contact for an assigned book of business within Regional Markets. - Manage an assigned distribution book of business of 2 lives – 4,999 lives, serving as the primary point of contact for broker service inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships and coordinate regularly with cross functional partners to ensure service commitments, renewals, and business objectives are achieved.
- Oversee stewardships, renewal, and strategic meetings, providing consultative guidance on group benefits products and solutions that support customer needs.
- Manage book of business renewal activity, persistency, and profitability outcomes while identifying cross-sell, re-enrollment, and revenue growth opportunities in partnership with Account Executives and Underwriting.
- Track service performance, analyze results, present recommendations, execute marketing and education campaigns, and maintain accurate book of business information.
- State Life, Accident, and Health insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- 3+ years of experience in account management, customer service, or a related role within a fast-paced, complex business environment.
- Strong knowledge of group benefits products, plan designs, benefit features, claims administration, and industry marketplace trends and regulatory developments.
- Experience using Salesforce to manage a book of business, account information, and business activities.
- Demonstrated relationship-building, problem-solving, communication, and customer-focused skills with the ability to travel 10%–20%.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of account management or insurance service experience within the insurance industry.
- Experience partnering with brokers, consultants, and cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused service solutions.
- Proven ability to analyze service performance, identify business growth opportunities, and present recommendations to broker partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships simultaneously.
The expected salary range for this position is $64,800 - $80,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
