Description and Requirements
The Role:
This position is a lead testing role and is responsible for validating the developed solutions meet the business needs. This role will review project materials, work with Product Owners, AD partners, Business Analysts and other Subject Matter Experts as well as stakeholders to support test planning meetings, documentation and communication of test strategy and participate in the execution of the plan through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently to develop and deliver complex testing strategies within an Agile framework
- Work with the product owner, collaborate with the business and development team to develop a comprehensive test approach
- Work closely with testing resources during test planning and execution activities (including test scenario development, test scripting, data creation and defect management).
- Participate in Program Increment Planning Sessions to appropriately drive alignment of the scope across sprints
- Participate in Sprint sizing and testing team capacity alignment
- Understand the user stories, features and their acceptance criteria
- Develop and support acceptance test-driven test scripts and data needs which align to identified business processes
- Identify risks and mitigate these wherever possible
- Execute test scripts, find defects, and work directly with developers to resolve and validate the solution
- Prepare materials and facilitate Demo Meetings
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working in the financial services and/or group benefits field
- 1-3 years of testing systems and platforms in an integrated environment
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile processes and using Agile tools (exp: Jira)
- High School diploma
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years of experience working in the Group Benefits field with a focus in Disability and Absence management
- 2+ years of experience working in the SAFe Agile Development Model
- Strong working knowledge of Azure, TargetProcess, Jira or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, associate degree or other certification related to financial services
