The Opportunity

MetLife's Total Control Account (TCA) is a payment method used to pay benefits from a Life Insurance policy or Annuity contract. TCA is an interest-bearing, no fee account designed to give beneficiaries the peace of mind that their money is secure and accessible while they decide how to use their funds. Although not a bank account, it's a lot like a checking account, but with several advantages including the ability to order a free Debit Card, ability to link to mobile payment services, transfer funds from TCA with no fees and designate a beneficiary(ies). This position is responsible for opening, reviewing specific processes, and maintaining Total Control Accounts (TCA) for multiple product lines. This position is responsible for review and working of queues, reports, operational processes including metrics. Other responsibilities include partnering with claim teams, and our vendor to ensure that TCA’s are set up, mailed, and processed correctly.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage TCA account operations, including opening new accounts, reviewing payment reports, processing transfers, withdrawals, and legal or claim-related requests
  • Perform daily reporting, transaction processing (ACH/wires), and quality control to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain accounts and resolve issues efficiently
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines, production goals, and customer satisfaction standards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TCA procedures and complete required training while supporting additional tasks as needed

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with working knowledge of insurance products and provisions
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, including handling sensitive or stressful situations
  • Solid analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines while maintaining accountability
  • Collaborative mindset with adaptability, confidentiality, and willingness to support process improvements and occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or relevant work experience desirable.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $20 - $24. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
