The Team You Will Join 

The Global Procurement Capabilities team is a part of the Global Procurement organization and includes the Source to Pay Governance and Accounts Payable functions.  The Source to Pay Governance team has responsibility for governing & optimizing the source to pay process through process design, process excellence, governance & controls, vendor enablement and sustainability.  The Source to Pay Governance team is on an exciting transformation journey, and is a critical enabler of overall procurement transformation, aiming for improved stakeholder experience, streamlined processes and enhanced technologies.   

 

The Opportunity 

The Sr. Consultant, Vendor Enablement and Source to Pay Governance will be a member of the Source to Pay Governance team.  As a part of this function the Sr. Consultant will focus on core vendor enablement programs, while also supporting key initiatives across procurement operations including process design, process excellence and governance & controls.  

Vendor enablement includes the following programs: 

  • Preferred vendor program
  • Vendor inclusion & development
  • Vendor sustainability

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • The Sr. Consultant will support the existing Vendor Inclusion Program and continue championing new & inclusive vendor strategies across the MetLife ecosystem  
  • The Sr. Consultant will liaise with Global Procurement Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability functions to develop and execute cohesive vendor sustainability strategies  
  • The Sr. Consultant will partner with Procurement Partnering to support the design, development, and execution of a Preferred Vendor Program  
  • The Consultant will partner with Data & Insights to develop & enhance reporting, analytics, and metrics required to support vendor inclusion, vendor sustainability, and preferred vendors.

 

What You Need to Succeed 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or a related field (or equivalent professional experience in related fields).
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor inclusion & development and sustainability.
  • 3+ years of experience in indirect procurement, supply chain management, procurement operations or source to pay governance.
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end source to pay process.
  • Experience in being a member of globally distributed large-scale procurement teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at using Excel and leading business intelligence tools such as Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Proficient communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiar with procurement software and tools; experience with leading procurement orchestration tools, CLMs and Ariba helpful.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
