The Opportunity

We seek a Senior Consultant – Privileged Access Management (PAM) that can help align security solutions with business goals and risk posture. You will join a global team responsible for the reliability, security, and maturity of PAM capabilities, enabling MetLife to operate securely in a fast-paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, governance, and technology – someone who:

  • Understands the criticality of privileged access and how to protect it

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to achieve zero-standing privileges (ZSP) across technology, processes, and governance.
  • Support the enhancement and expansion of PAM capabilities, especially across cloud and emerging technologies, by translating complex business and compliance requirements into actionable PAM initiatives.
  • Define requirements, use cases, and test plans for PAM projects (including non-human identities and secrets management). Maintain clear documentation and support audits & assessments.
  • Collaborate with IAM, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security teams to embed privileged access controls. Support a culture that values strategic thinking, ownership & accountability, and personal growth.
  • Monitor emerging trends (Zero Trust, automation, AI), identify opportunities for adoption, and advocate for IAM/PAM best practices and security awareness.
  • Produce regular reports for leadership that provide an overview of key performance and risk indicators (KPIs / KRIs) across technology performance, operational efficiency, and other key areas Deliver KPI/KRI reports for leadership on performance and risks.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline. 
  • 6+ years of experience working in PAM or IAM.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams delivering both technical and non-technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of PAM/IAM frameworks, policies, and zero-trust principles, across both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or other PAM technologies, and excellent analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing privileged access management programs and mentorship or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise automation projects (e.g., APIs, Ansible).
  • Relevant professional or vendor certification(s) (e.g., CISSP, CyberArk Guardian).
  • Experience with cloud services particularly Microsoft Entra & Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and controls (SOX, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, NYDFS).

 

The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $162,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
