The opportunity

The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for working closely with Tax Managers, Directors, and business stakeholders across a global organization while supporting tax accounting, financial reporting, and tax transformation initiatives. Guided by our purpose – always with you building a more confident future – and our New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns and all-weather performance, this is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong accounting and financial reporting background, practical experience with income tax accounting, and the ability to independently manage tax reporting processes in a dynamic multinational environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support the review of quarterly and annual tax reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare income tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations, and related supporting schedules.
  • Analyze effective tax rate drivers and tax account fluctuations.
  • Prepare and maintain tax reporting workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement tax disclosures under US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support tax accounting requirements in accordance with ASC 740 and other applicable reporting frameworks.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review tax-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Research and analyze tax accounting issues and support technical tax projects when required.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Financial Reporting, FP&A, and Tax teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support external and internal audit requests by providing documentation and analysis.
  • Utilize Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud (TRC) and other reporting tools to support tax reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contribute to tax transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, tax reporting, financial reporting, or a combination of these areas.
  • Experience preparing or supporting: Income tax provisions - Deferred tax calculations - Tax account reconciliations - Journal entries - Financial reporting packages - Tax reporting workpapers.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, with exposure to ASC 740 concepts.
  • Advanced Excel, Alteryx, PeopleSoft, Oracle.
  • Experience supporting quarter-end and year-end close processes and reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and also adaptability.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with global stakeholders.
  • High level of ownership and accountability. Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in a Big Four or multinational corporate environment.
  • Progress toward a professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with tax accounting and income tax provision processes.
  • Familiarity with ASC 740 and deferred tax accounting concepts.
  • Experience with Oracle, Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud (TRC), SAP, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience working in global shared service centers or multinational organizations.
  • Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
