Description and Requirements

The Team You Will Join
The Sales Coordinator team sits within MetLife Group Benefits and supports the Distribution Wholesaling & Support organization. In partnership with an assigned sales team, Sales Coordinators help improve sales productivity by strengthening core processes and ensuring key deliverables move forward on time. The team plays an essential role in sales operations—supporting proposal activity, coordinating internal inputs, and helping ensure accurate handoffs from proposal through notification of sale and closeout. Sales Coordinators work closely with sales roles and internal partners to help keep work organized, tracked, and completed efficiently.

The Opportunity
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and operational support that helps sales teams deliver a high-quality proposal and sales experience, from initial request through sale notification and closeout, across the 100–4,999 employee segment.
Guided by our purpose—Always with you, building a more confident future—and anchored by MetLife’s New Frontier strategy, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact by improving how work flows across sales and internal partners.

Success in this role requires strong organization, deadline management, and the ability to collaborate confidently across teams. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for helping drive timely, accurate execution of key sales processes and supporting documentation, while partnering closely with sales and operational stakeholders in an environment where every contribution is respected and every perspective is heard.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
  • Coordinate the proposal/RFP lifecycle, including prospect submission, tracking due dates, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to gather responses for RFPs and supplemental questionnaires.
  • Create and refine sales-ready materials by preparing presentation content and requesting reports or supporting documentation to strengthen responses and client-facing deliverables.
  • Oversee key routing and closeout work, including compensation-related forms and support for broker-of-record changes and reporting of sales.
  • Manage sales process administration by executing Notice of Sale activities, validating broker/GA/TPA and licensing requirements, and supporting accurate implementation kickoffs.
  • Develop consistent tracking and visibility by using tools (e.g., Salesforce and related systems) to manage work, maintain data accuracy, and support reporting and process alignment.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

-Demonstrated ability to prioritize high volumes of work and consistently meet time-sensitive deadlines in a sales support, operations, or administrative environment.
-Proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare documents, presentations, and supporting materials.
-Ability to work across multiple systems while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and process steps.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales partners and internal teams.
-Strong organizational skills, ownership mindset, and comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
-Experience supporting RFP/proposal coordination or similar sales enablement workflows (suggested 2+ years in related experience).
-Familiarity with Salesforce and/or RFP-related platforms (e.g., Aon, ThreeFlow, Plansight, PerfectQuote) to support tracking, data entry, and process execution.
-Ability to learn new tools quickly and contribute to process improvements that increase consistency, speed, and quality across stakeholders.
The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $62,200. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
