This is a role within Private Capital of MetLife Investment Management (“MIM”).  The Private Capital team is an industry leader in institutional asset origination, managing over $90 Billion in assets and is experiencing rapid growth.  To help manage this growth and to ensure continued delivery of high-quality client service, the team is seeking an experienced Analyst, Private Capital, to assist and develop the loan servicing responsibilities as well as implement innovative operational processes across MetLife’s Private Capital origination capabilities. The role will work closely with MIM’s Private Capital deal origination team, institutional borrowers and MIM’s Middle Office, Legal and Finance organizations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Entering new private debt transactions into the Aladdin and Salesforce systems
  • Managing and owning data accuracy on all assets managed by Private Fixed Income across all data systems
  • Working with portfolio managers to input portfolio allocations for new investments
  • Supporting financial reporting processes, including working with Trade Operations, Investments Finance and Legal teams, and outside vendors regarding funding processes, investment amendments, structuring fees, principal and interest payments, and other transaction cash flows
  • Working closely with Client Portfolio Management team in client reporting and client requests
  • Attending to correspondence and emails from issuers/borrowers related to payments, wires, and other transaction cash flows
  • Proactively assisting in designing innovative processes that improve reporting efficiencies in support of world-class client service
  • Supporting quarterly portfolio reports for senior management and internal clients
  • Providing on-going support for loan pricing and valuation


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

Required: 

  • Less than 3 years of experience working preferred in a financial institution or asset manager in a business operations role, loan processing/servicing role or an accounting role involved with loan servicing operations
  • Outstanding organizational skills and management of multiple tasks under tight working deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently
  • Undergraduate degree required

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin system and/or Salesforce would be a plus
