The Lead Investment Administrator is responsible for day-to-day transaction processing for MetLife Stable Value Products. This is an exciting opportunity to establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with clients and business partners by administering a portfolio of contracts by ensuring timeliness of transaction processing, regulatory reporting, statement issuance, and escalation resolution.
- Under general supervision, perform day-to-day transaction processing (deposits, withdrawals, and transfers)
- Read, interpret, and determine the transactions of a newly arrived client trade sheet. Seek clarity when needed and complete pre-work communication before proceeding.
- Update financial, administrative, and imaging systems with transaction information and related documentation.
- Perform peer review for accuracy of previous-day transactions on the pensions accounting system. Notify originating administrator of errors and propose solutions.
- Review Annual Schedule A and C Form 5500 Reports for accuracy prior to automated mailing. Investigate discrepancies between reports and records in the financial management system. Perform recalculations or create manual reporting as needed. Set up automated delivery of Annual reporting for new contracts.
- Ensure online client access to monthly fund balance statements. Obtain and verify client access information and initiate client access to statements for new contracts.
- Resolve internal and external client escalations within one business day and determine best course of action
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy/Attention to Detail
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skilled at working independently and as a team
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with associates, clients, and intermediaries
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to proficiently learn and use core systems
- Able to review lengthy trade documents, ensure their accuracy and validity, and extract pertinent information
- Financial or insurance industry experience
- 4-year college degree
- Knowledge of Retirement & Income Solution Operations. Can identify the major product offerings and activities of the operations and administrative support process. Understands basic principles, processes, and terminology of the business
- Preference for US East Coast candidates due to working hours
The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
