The Opportunity
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern will be responsible for using new technologies to streamline and re-engineer existing reporting processes. The intern would also be responsible for reviewing files and presentations for accuracy (a critical part of FP&A) by comparing numbers to various other sources and assist the team during monthly and quarterly close activities. The Intern will also assist in developing new modules for the U.S. Financial Dashboard using Power BI and explore existing processes to develop use cases for automation using emerging AI tools like Power Automate and Copilot. The Intern may also assist in special projects or ad hoc analysis.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn the latest financial technology tools and implement them in real world scenarios. Interns will gain critical problem-solving skills and develop solutions by working around financial, data and process constraints. An opportunity to gain exposure to process automation, P&L management, financial technologies and data analytics to assist with future career endeavors.
Success in this role requires good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. This role requires the candidate to quickly learn, research and implement solutions using Excel, Power BI and other technology tools so a passion to explore and experiment with such tools would be an asset. You’ll collaborate closely with finance professionals to understand and improve processes and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will intern for approximately 10 weeks in the summer (dates are flexible based on academic schedule). This role is hybrid (3 days a week) in 200 Park Avenue (New York, NY).
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Support process re-engineering efforts
- Assist in developing new modules for the U.S. Financial Dashboard to create a single source of truth
- Assist in research of new AI tools and develop U.S. Finance use cases
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program with graduation dates no earlier than December 2026 and no later than May 2027
- Ability to quickly adapt new technology tools using self-paced courses and discussion forums
- Exhibits good problem-solving skills and shows perseverance in getting things done
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task, and prioritize a variety of deliverables
- Ability to support, facilitate and participate in activities that promote team effectiveness
What Can Give You an Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
- Experience developing programming logic in any popular language
- Experience using AI tools
- Experience with Power BI or basic coding in DAX or M for data analysis
- Working towards CPA or CFA
