The Government Relations Analyst is responsible for helping support the work of an externally facing function that delivers public policy solutions for MetLife businesses and the overall enterprise. This position is critical or keeping the global team organized and operating seamlessly to help meet objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with a high functioning team across several global markets, learn the nexus between public policy and business, and develop critical skills to enhance a career and leadership path. You will work with a team that supports and liaises with senior executives of the company as well as other notable external stakeholders.
- Provide executive and administrative support to department leadership, including calendar, travel, expenses, IT coordination, and document management.
- Support internal operations and processes, including planning, tracking deliverables, managing requests, invoice management, and budget monitoring.
- Support development and production of materials for meetings, events, and executive briefings, including high-quality and confidential presentations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with projects and overall office operations, supporting low- to medium-complexity initiatives under senior staff guidance and managing events.
- BS/BA degree and 1-3 years of experience
- Demonstrate a strong ownership mindset, working independently to anticipate needs, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results aligned with company values.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, effectively handling multiple tasks, competing priorities, and complex follow-ups.

- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess tasks, projects, and requests thoughtfully—connect to broader objectives, ask clarifying questions, consider contingencies, flag conflicts and gaps, suggest improvements to processes.
- Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle and track multiple tasks to completion, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible.
- Self-motivated to learn more about the business and is proactive in personal development.
- Ability to balance client expectations with MetLife capabilities and understand the impact both administratively and financially.
- A combination of corporate and other experience preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is $62,100 - $80,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
