The Opportunity

The Business Integration Project Manager is responsible for the intake, prioritization, and execution of strategic initiatives, large and small-scale projects, enhancements, and production support efforts. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and leadership to drive impactful operational transformations—resulting in revenue lift, automation of business processes, and enhanced business continuity—supporting the continued industry leadership of the RIS Life Products organization.

In addition, the Project Manager leads the identification and implementation of workflow and process improvements across RIS Life Products, using data-driven insights to propose solutions that improve organizational effectiveness across the US.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enhancements, defect remediation, and production support for the Vantage administrative system, reducing manual processes and supporting product-specific solutions.

 

  • Lead enhancements, defect remediation, and production support for the SBR website, supporting internal and external users and promoting self-service capabilities.

 

  • Manage business procedures and documentation processes for RIS Life Products.

 

  • Own and deliver organizational metrics and reporting, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and continuous improvement.

 

  • Identify and recommend development and process improvement opportunities across RIS Life Products. 

 

  • Responsible for multiple activities related to applying and enhancing the SAFe Agile framework. including applying innovation and strategic thinking to our Agile Release Trains.

 

  • Work with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers and Solution Engineers to support Program Increment (PI) sessions, daily huddles and key Agile ceremonies, along with cross-ART collaboration sessions. 

Project Management Expectations

  • Independently define project scope, inter-dependencies, outputs, and critical path activities; track delivery against established plans.
  • Define high-level business requirements, support business leaders with business case development, ROI analysis, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to document objectives, alternatives, risks, and rationale; guide test plan creation and review testing results.
  • Identify resource needs, secure alignment, and track allocations while proactively addressing capacity constraints.
  • Develop and execute project communication plans, delivering clear status updates through reports and metrics.
  • Facilitate effective project meetings, manage action items, and ensure incremental business value delivery aligned with scope.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues; collaborate with teams to propose and implement solutions.
  • Provide direction on behalf of the Product Owner to resolve scope, priority, and application-related conflicts.
  • Lead, motivate, and influence cross-functional team members in a matrixed environment.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Experience as a liaison between client service and IT 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform recommendations
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate across teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled solution implementation
  • Sound business judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications
  • Related experience as Agile Project Manager with strong knowledge of Agile principles, concepts and methodology
  • Experience with the Vantage administrative system
  • Experience with website technology
  • Life insurance industry experience

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $74,500 - $80,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
