Role Value Proposition: 

MetLife’s Application Security Team within Global Security group leads the effort to secure the large and diverse application portfolio in the enterprise. The Associate Analyst position assists in the activities within the application security lifecycle which includes the security requirements and SDL alignment across global development teams, organizing and managing global testing effort leading to smooth and efficient testing cycles and remediation are performed according to best practices and performed on schedule. This is a position with high visibility and representation of the Global Security group to application development leaders both within the company and outside MetLife.

    

Key Responsibilities:  

·       Assist Program Leads in managing data from different sources,

·       Maintain a “big and complete” picture view of the data flow/lineage, dependencies, business goals, technology arena, etc. and helps guide & direct the functioning of the metrics delivery teams appropriately

  • Assist in the generation of metrics to drive the continuous improvement program and present current state of security status to management team
  • Assist Program Leads in Application Security Program within Global Security group to ensure the alignment on global delivery
  • Assist Program Leads in actions for process improvement and/or process re-engineering

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 - 2 years of working experience in IT or related experience
  • Knowledge of Java / Python programming languages
  • Knowledge of SQL/Perl scripting languages for automation and integration of different data types into an analytics engine will be an added value.
  • Knowledge of Visualization and Analytics tools like Power BI will be an added value.
  • Must be a self-starter with an analytical mindset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving

 Preferred:

  • Has experience working in a fast-paced Dev/Ops environment and is familiar with related tools and technologies
  • Has basic understanding of data science, process automation, and machine learning.
  • Has basic understanding of data modeling, connecting to external data sources through APIs, and creating a domain specific data warehouse.
  • Has a general awareness of Application Security and knowledge of State of Application Security
