 The Opportunity 

The Database Reliability Engineer position is responsible for engineering and operating evolving database and logging platforms. This role involves creating self service capabilities and automation to manage and optimize existing database and logging platforms globally, as well as evaluating and onboarding new database platforms and tools across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to continuously improve stability and increase self-service through automation, self-healing, and AIOps, providing a best-in-class experience for our application development partners. An ideal candidate should have experience with developing web applications, using application patterns and frameworks, automation and DevOps tools, infrastructure/configuration as code, and be able to contribute in multiple ways.

Success in this role requires a forward-thinking individual who excels at using innovative methods to help manage disparate database platforms, adapts quickly to new tools and technologies, and delivers what truly matters to customers.

 How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
 * Leads and participates in efforts to leverage Automation, AIOps, and Observability for optimized data infrastructure performance, security, and stability, including research, planning, design, engineering, and operation of highly available, reliable, and scalable solutions.
* Design and implement applications and automation solutions to build, configure, and manage database infrastructure.
 * Develops and implements automation for self-healing mechanisms to minimize system downtime as well as self-service solutions for streamlined operations.
* Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability.
 * Participates in the on-call rotation to support a 24/7 environment as needed.

 What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
 * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field or equivalent relevant experience.
 * 1+ years of full stack web development with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, web frameworks and architecture patterns.  
 * Experience with Linux OS and Cloud Platforms. 
* Experience working in a DevOps and Agile environment, including familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, automation tools, and collaborative development workflows.
 * Affinity to learn new technologies based on demand and help team members by coaching and assisting. 

 What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

 * Suggested 1+ years of experience in IT and Infrastructure engineering work experience.
 * Experience in relational or non-relational database technologies or logging platforms (like Splunk). Examples for database technologies can include but are not limited to MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
 * Experience developing automation with Ansible.
 * Experience working closely with Observability tools like Elastic, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus etc.
 * Experience with GitHub Enterprise or Azure DevOps.
 * Experience with API and API-driven development.
 * Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and ML models, with experience in configuring ML jobs


Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $65,200 - $86,900. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
