We are looking for a new Payroll Manager to join our team in our team in Chile.
The Payroll Analyst, Chile is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely execution of monthly payroll and social security obligations. This role supports MetLife’s commitment to operational excellence by delivering accurate payments, maintaining reliable payroll data, and strengthening internal controls. It is an exciting opportunity to work with key business partners, contribute to workforce analytics, and support continuous improvement across payroll and HR processes.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in Chilean labor and tax regulations. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for maintaining compliant payroll operations and providing high‑quality data for managerial decision‑making. You will collaborate closely with HR Leaders, Finance, Legal, and system administrators in an environment where accuracy, collaboration, and integrity are valued.
What you will do in this role…
- Execute the monthly payroll cycle, including salary calculations, variables, overtime, bonuses, medical leave, and advances.
- Execute monthly system closures and required processes within the payroll platform.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of all social security obligations (Previred, AFC, mutual insurance, statutory insurances).
- Ensure compliance with Chilean labor, tax, and social security regulations through accurate documentation and process adherence.
- Verify payroll inputs and outputs to detect discrepancies, errors, or risks before payroll finalization.
- Verify vacation balances, attendance records, leaves, and other personnel administration data.
- Maintain updated and accurate personnel records, including absences, medical leaves, and administrative movements.
- Maintain data integrity within the payroll platform by monitoring changes, validating results, and escalating issues when needed.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports, cost analyses, provisions, and workforce movement summaries.
- Prepare key data sets and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Prepare information for annual budget planning, staffing indicators, and cost tracking.
- Support HR leaders with technical or system‑related inquiries regarding payroll or personnel administration.
- Support legal processes by preparing letters, notifications, case documentation, and required information for labor claims.
- Administer processes related to vacations, absences, medical certificates, and attendance records.
- Administer reporting and dashboard generation for management indicators (headcount, turnover, costs, absenteeism, provisions).
To help you succeed, you need to have knowledge in…
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll and personnel administration in Chile.
- Experience using Outsourced and/or SaaS payroll platform.
- Desirable intermediate proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Chilean labor and tax regulations.
