Description and Requirements

The Service Financials team within the Technology Business Management Office (TBMO) enables transparency and accountability in IT spending through a structured chargeback model tied to our Service Catalog. By aligning financials with industry-standard taxonomy and benchmarking practices, the team empowers business leaders to make informed, strategic decisions that maximize the value of IT investments.

Job Location: Must live within a commutable distance of the Cary NC Office


Hybrid: Monday Tuesday Thursday in office  


 

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

 

·       Contribute annual planning by aligning service mix and budgets with business and management needs.

·       Monitor industry trends in application development and end-user services to identify improvement opportunities.

·       Maintain accurate service data and financial records to enforce governance and support transparency.

·       Ensure IT expenses align with enterprise service taxonomy standards and support financial clarity.

·       Perform service-level financial analysis to support business cases and strategic initiatives.

·       Communicate IT chargeback methodologies clearly and assist stakeholders with understanding and adoption.

·       Collaborate with Service Owners to support funding strategies and explore innovative TBM solutions.

·       Work with CFO partners to align budget allocations with GEM and support financial planning.

·       Support service delivery strategy development, including tiered offerings and value measurement.

·       Promote standardization and best practices across service management and delivery processes.

·       Assist with annual industry benchmarking and analyze cost drivers to identify optimization opportunities.

·       Help ensure service expenses qualify for tax reduction and support TBM tool adoption and education.

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

 

·       5 plus years of experience in financial reporting within public or private sector

·       Strong background in accounting and financial reporting

·       Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly

·       Advanced Microsoft Suite skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

·       Proficiency in financial reporting systems

·       Experience supporting financial reporting and disclosure requirements

·       Knowledge & experience in TBM Taxonomy 


 

 What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

 

·       Financial modeling experience

·       Microsoft suit skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)

·       Apptio Platform experience

·       Exposure SAFe/Agile methodologies

·       BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

·       Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills

·       Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently


 

 

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
