Role Value Proposition: 

 

The Retirement & Income Solutions US Pension Pricing team is seeking an Actuary to serve as the actuarial & pricing lead for cross-functional post-sale onboarding and administration of strategic PRT cases.   Core responsibilities include managing post-sale customized solutions for corporate clients.  This position will work with Product Management, Implementation, RIS Operations, RIS Contracts, Business Solutions, RIS IT, Actuarial Resources, and Global Risk Management on a regular basis.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Serve as actuarial & pricing expert for cross-functional onboarding and administration of strategic PRT cases: Responsibilities include:  development and review of benefit calculation tools; analysis and reconciliation of client-facing calculations; data analysis and reconciliation; creation of files & documents for internal partners to streamline IT & Actuarial onboarding and automation; support of IT testing; understanding, describing, and quantifying financial impacts of plan provisions; reviewing and opining on contract features and administrative practices; and partnership with Contracts team to create and review contractual documents
  • Provide actuarial support to internal partners (i.e. Implementation and Global Operations) on all post-sale pricing issues related to strategic PRT cases 
  • Perform post-sale pricing-related functions, such as creating individual cost listing, analyzing price variance, performing true-up calculations, and handling amendment calculations
  • Developing strategies for non-standard post-sale pricing and financial related requests from strategic clients
  • Make recommendations on refining current processes to enhance the quality of work and improve efficiency
  • Complete special projects and act as a resource to internal partners on actuarial issues
  • Supervisor Responsibilities: None. 

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field.
  • 6+ years of actuarial experience; 4+ years pensions-related experience
  • Excellent computer skills, analytical, and spreadsheet (Excel, Access, Visual Basic).
  • Proven ability to act independently yet understand when and where to escalate and involve others 
  • Proven strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High degree of business and financial acumen
  • ASA designation with the Society of Actuaries

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Prophet
  • FSA designation with the Society of Actuaries
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $114,000 - $152,100. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
