In your local office you will be working with all the other departments, evaluating the risk according to the company’s established standards and exercise good judgment in assessment of the medical, financial and residence risk as to contribute to quality customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops information regarding evidence of insurability, determines its’ adequacy and carefully, adequately and thoroughly examines the available information to determine insurance terms and accept insurance risk;
  • Makes risk assessment of medical cases – based on the medical documentation, medical advisors consultations and the underwriting manual and existing underwriting rules;
  • Underwrites standard and complex Life and PA policies and Credit Life applications whenever required by the workflow in the department;
  • Prepares and sends to the respective sales channels requirements for additional and or medical information - examinations, tests, APS, exclusion clauses and loadings, etc; 
  • Requests for approval of cases (Life, PA, Credit Life) beyond the local underwriting limit from the RO and reinsurers;
  • Monitors closely the cooperation with contracted medical clinics and medical advisors and prepare monthly invoices;
  • Prepares vouchers and payment forms for deposit refund and letters to customers in case of postponed, declined, withdrawn or incomplete application or not taken policy;
  • Prepares Monthly, Quarterly Underwriting Report, TAT report and other reporting related to underwriting process and department upon request;
  • Evaluates special claim cases or in case of required preliminary risk assessment;
  • Evaluate cases of Group contracts (Group Life, Credit Life);
  • Performs duties as a member of the specialized service in connection with the Law on Measures against Money Laundering which include, but are not limited to: implementation of the requirements of all internal rules and policies - group and local, participation in projects, investigations and training on anti-money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • Ensures effective risk management is taken into account in all day to day activities, in accordance with MеtLife risk policies, and escalates any areas of concern to line manager and where appropriate, to Risk Management function.

  

To become our next colleague, you’ll have to bring to the table the following:

  • University degree, in economics/ insurance would be an advantage;
  • Minimum 2 years experience in insurance company; experience in life insurance company represents an advantage;
  • Knowledge of some basic medical terms;
  • Demonstrated writing ability and experience in business correspondence;
  • Good English level;
  • Good technical and computer skills, including fluency in using Ms Office suite;
  • Digital mindset, curious about technology and digitalization;
  • Very good communication skills.
