We are currently seeking a Technical Functional Analyst to join our Regional Data & Analytics Team at our Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires, and create business impact through data across multiple functions. 

This role will support data-driven decisions in areas such as customer engagement, distribution, underwriting, claims operations, risk management, and product development. You will tackle complex, open-ended problems and connect the dots across large, disparate datasets.

This is a critical role in the analytics lifecycle, responsible for requirement gathering, solutioning, documentation, backlog definition, data modeling, data mapping, testing definition and execution, among others. 
The ideal candidate is an analytical enthusiast with strong SQL skills, data modeling expertise, and a solid understanding of Big Data or cloud data technologies.

What you will do in this role:

• Collaborate with functional and technical leads, business SMEs, and analysts to gather requirements and implement ETL solutions.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design, security, debugging, profiling, and performance tuning.
• Document and manage functional requirements, data mappings, ERDs, and data models.
• Manage user expectations and scope changes.
• Use Tosca for test automation to ensure solutions meet MetLife’s standards for functionality and performance.
• Validate the quality and reliability of data systems, automated processes, and Power Apps solutions.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and incorporate user feedback to deliver high-value solutions.
• Mentor Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and review their work.

To help you succeed, you need to have:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, BI, or analytics projects in corporate IT environments—preferably in insurance, financial services, or healthcare.
• Experience designing solutions for cloud or big data lakes for analytics and reporting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with exploratory tools.
• Experience writing functional requirements and high-level design documents.
• Ability to write validation scripts for data integrations and ETL transformations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured datasets.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and explore possibilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Spanish and English.

It would be very attractive if you also have:

• Experience in Data Warehouse projects.
• Exposure to Data Science projects.
• Familiarity with Data Visualization or ETL tools.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Background in the insurance domain and analytics.
