概要と必要条件

The purpose of the role

The role is responsible for end-to-end product pricing, from concept design to post-launch performance, with a focus on building a modern, agile, and data-driven pricing capability.

It supports the development of competitive and profitable propositions by leveraging analytics and pricing frameworks to enable faster, more informed decisions and continuous pricing optimization.

The role acts as a bridge between actuarial, business, and customer perspectives, ensuring pricing decisions are both technically sound and commercially relevant.

How will you contribute?

1.End-to-End Pricing Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end pricing process for new products and changes, from concept and design through approval and launch;
  • Develop, maintain, and validate robust pricing models aligned with business strategy, using data, experience analysis, and market insights to define and challenge assumptions;
  • Lead pricing decisions, clearly communicating rationale, trade-offs, and risks in governance and approval forums.

2.Product Design & Commercial Contribution

  • Contribute to the design of product propositions in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and OPS teams;
  • Ensure pricing aligns with the value proposition, supporting clear market positioning and differentiation;
  • Balance customer value, competitiveness, and profitability, providing a strong commercial perspective in product decisions.

3. Pricing Frameworks & Modernization

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of scalable, standardized pricing frameworks to support consistency and efficiency across products;
  • Promote the effective use of data, analytics, and available tools in pricing activities, improving the quality and speed of decision-making;
  • Leverage AI tools, advanced analytics, and forward-looking analysis (including scenario testing and predictive insights) to enhance pricing decisions, improve efficiency, and better anticipate future performance;

4.Governance & Approval Process

  • Prepare clear and structured pricing documentation in line with governance and approval requirements, ensuring transparency and auditability of models, methodologies, and assumptions;
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Finance, and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support smooth approval processes;
  • Address feedback and challenges from governance forums promptly, ensuring effective and timely resolution.

5. Post-Launch Feedback & Pricing Adjustments

  • Monitor product performance against pricing assumptions and interpret insights to identify required pricing or product adjustments;
  • Propose and support corrective actions, including repricing, product redesign, or simplification initiatives;
  • Ensure a closed-loop approach between product design, performance insights, and pricing decisions, continuously refining pricing based on real business outcomes.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the entire Product team, Sales & Marketing, Operations & IT, and Finance & Risk teams to ensure alignment across the product lifecycle;
  • Act as a key interface between technical actuarial work and business stakeholders, facilitating effective collaboration and alignment;

7. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Clearly communicate pricing approaches, assumptions, and decisions to senior management and key stakeholders;
  • Translate technical outputs into clear, concise, and business-relevant insights that support decision-making;
  • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by providing consistent, transparent, and high-quality actuarial input.

In order to be a good fit, you’ll have to bring to the table:

Essential Business Experience

  • Ownership & Accountability – own pricing deliverables end-to-end (design → approval → launch → monitoring), with clear responsibility for outcomes, not just calculations;
  • Commercial Mindset – understand how pricing drives growth, margins, and competitiveness; actively challenge assumptions to improve product performance;
  • Customer Value Orientation – ensure pricing reflects real customer value and supports sustainable, fair propositions;
  • Business & Market Awareness – strong understanding of market dynamics, competitors, and regulatory context; proactively integrate market insights into pricing decisions;
  • Communication & Influence – clearly communicate complex pricing topics to non-technical stakeholders and influence decisions at senior level;
  • Execution & Speed – ability to deliver under pressure while balancing speed and quality; simplify processes to accelerate time-to-market;
  • Proactivity & Continuous Improvement – challenge existing approaches; actively identify opportunities to improve pricing models, tools, and processes.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or equivalent;
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification (IFoA or equivalent preferred);
  • Strong experience in life insurance pricing (minimum 3-5 years);
  • Solid understanding of:
  1. pricing methodologies
  2. product design structures
  3. financial metrics (profitability, value creation, capital impact)
    • Strong analytical and modelling skills;
    • Proficiency in Excel and actuarial tools; familiarity with data, automation, or coding tools (VBA, Python, etc.) is a strong advantage;
    • Fluent in English.

Digital, Data & Analytics Capabilities

  • Strong digital literacy; confident use of core business and analytical tools;
  • Data-driven mindset; ability to interpret reports, ask the right questions, and translate insights into actions;
  • Active use of analytics, AI, and emerging pricing tools to improve speed and quality of work;
  • Continuous improvement mindset; leveraging data, automation, and digital tools to enhance ways of working.
