The Opportunity

The IT Asset Management Engineering position is responsible for leading the operation, governance, and continuous improvement of MetLife’s IT Asset Management service, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and inventory integrity in Mexico. 
This is an exciting opportunity to drive automation, AI‑enabled monitoring, and digital transformation initiatives that enhance the reliability and efficiency of IT assets. 
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration.
The position is responsible for managing enterprise asset infrastructure and optimizing asset management services. 
You’ll collaborate closely with Global Asset Management, End User Management, local IT teams, vendors, and auditors in an inclusive environment.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

• Lead daily ITAM operations across hardware, software, cloud, and SaaS, ensuring data accuracy and lifecycle control. 
• Create automation scripts, workflows, and AI‑driven monitoring capabilities. 
• Oversee inventory integrity, license compliance, and CMDB governance. 
• Manage asset provisioning, reconciliation, audits, and vendor/license validations. 
• Develop KPI frameworks, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives. 
• Coordinate with global, regional, and local IT teams to align standards and resolve issues.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field. 
• Expertise in ServiceNow ITAM/SAM/HAM to manage lifecycle processes and compliance. 
• Strong skills in automation (AI, RPA), BI tools, and cloud/SaaS management. 
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management abilities. 
• Ability to lead through influence and work in high‑pressure environments.

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

• Suggested 3–6 years of experience in IT Asset Management leadership. 
• Knowledge of agile frameworks such as SAFe or SCRUM to support project execution. 
• Experience working across diverse and global teams with strong interpersonal skills. 
• Strong decision‑making capability and customer‑centric mindset.
