This year, MetLife was named to the 2026 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® in the U.S.for the fourth year in a row.

Moments like this matter not because of a single ranking, but because they reflect something built over time: trust.

The list is based on feedback from employees themselves, capturing how people experience their work, their teams, and their leaders. Appearing year after year shows that MetLife is a place where people feel respected, supported, and empowered to grow—and that these values are woven into our everyday experience.

Trust is built in the everyday

One of the clearest ways trust takes shape is in how feedback is shared, heard, and acted on. Employees are invited to share what’s working and what could be better through channels like the MyVoice survey, leader listening forums, and ongoing team conversations.

That feedback is reviewed by leaders, discussed openly, and used to set priorities. From addressing everyday obstacles through initiatives like "Removing Pebbles" to exploring innovation solutions through the Experimentation Fund, employees' perspectives inform decisions and shape how work evolves over time.

Growth looks different for everyone, and that’s intentional

We find community and shared understanding through MOMENTUM Networks, cross-cultural learning with programs like GlobeSmart, and take part in team‑based experiences like INDEAVOR, which focuses on trust, inclusion, and psychological safety at the team level.

These structures are reinforced by everyday practicesflexibility that helps people manage work and life, teams that look out for one another, and leaders who are encouraged to show up with empathy and consistency. Together, they create an environment where people feel respected and able to contribute fully, both as professionals and as people.
