Needs a Technical project lead who can manage the Benefits saving program for MetLfe
Key Responsibilities:
- The Sr. Project lead is responsible for identifying and implementing the savings opportunities in MetLife across Hardware, Software, and Mainframes domains. The lead will coordinate across different enterprise teams and generate ideas to present to the leadership.
- Success in this role requires deep technical knowledge of Applications, hardware, cloud, and should be able to analyze the data to prioritize savings. You’ll collaborate closely with app dev teams, infrastructure, and Finance teams in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
- Drive operational excellence through the understanding and alignment of key customer goals and business priorities.
- Responsible for project management execution including but not limited to estimating and managing projects’ costs and resources; identifying and managing projects’ risks and issues; monitoring progress of all key project work streams, deliverables, and outcomes; creation and maintenance of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Responsible for overseeing requirements and deliverables of internal AD, infrastructure, and finance teams as well as vendor partner AD teams.
- Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Leads and motivates project team members that are not direct reports that may cross various functional areas.
- Leads project meetings and provides updates to leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work.
- Familiarity with the architecture of infrastructure, application development, and/or mainframe.
- 8+ years of managing complex IT projects driven by business needs/requirements.
- Partner closely with application owners, business leaders, and IT teams to identify duplicate, outdated, or unnecessary applications, supporting decisions to consolidate, retire, or modernize systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated ability to apply analysis to actionable insights.
- Organizational intelligence and strong influence management/cross-functional leadership skills; adept at working in a matrixed structure.
- Very strong presentation and communication skills with experience providing communication to senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship management and facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledgeable in office automation tools (MS Office suite of applications, email, Internet, etc.)
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focused attention to detail, as well as demonstrated professionalism and time/task management skills; ability to establish strong relationships.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Financial Services, Insurance and/or Banking experience.
- Knowledge of SAFe Framework.
- Highly motivated and thrive in an environment where problems are open-ended.
- Working independently and able to manage large-scale projects.
