The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Consultant is responsible for supporting expense planning, reporting, and business decision-making within MetLife’s U.S. CFO organization, primarily for the Group Benefits business in the United States. This role plays a key part in enhancing financial insights and advancing reporting capabilities through analytics, automation, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and continuous enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable expense insights
  • Create scalable reporting frameworks that support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making across the business
  • Oversee expense analysis processes, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending actions to improve business performance
  • Manage relationships with finance leaders and business partners to align on planning assumptions, reporting needs, and decision-support priorities
  • Develop automation and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and modernize FP&A processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to evaluate, test, and scale new tools, reporting capabilities, and process improvements


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, applied to supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard design, data modeling, and development of scalable reporting solutions
  • Strong experience working with large data sets and reporting systems to deliver financial analysis and management reporting
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to business stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or related functions
  • Experience leveraging automation tools, Power Platform (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate), or AI-driven solutions to improve reporting and decision support
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and/or finance transformation initiatives
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in high-visibility environments with senior stakeholders
