As the Product Manager's right hand, this individual will help drive product strategy, roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution readiness while partnering closely with Operations, Product Owners, and Technology teams. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking problem solver who can balance long-term strategy with practical execution, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and influence teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Product Manager to support product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and delivery planning for Disability and Absence operational capabilities.
  • Analyze operational processes, data, and business challenges to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, and technology-enabled solutions that improve performance and customer outcomes.
  • Translate business opportunities into clear product requirements, features, and user stories, partnering closely with engineering teams to design and deliver effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Owners, and Technology teams to align priorities, manage stakeholder expectations, and support successful delivery and adoption of solutions.
  • Support the Product Manager in developing business cases, benefit realization plans, executive communications, and strategic recommendations.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and data-driven capabilities, to identify opportunities to solve business problems and improve operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Operations Support, or a related discipline with a proven ability to analyze business processes and translate opportunities into product solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Disability and Absence products and operations, including the ability to identify operational challenges, evaluate data and business processes, and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working within Agile environments, including feature definition, requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, and collaboration with Product Owners and technology teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and the ability to use data to support decision-making, prioritization, and business case development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence partners across Operations, Product, and Technology and effectively communicate initiatives from concept through delivery.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, business processes, and AI capabilities in a rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience supporting the development and delivery of technology products, applications, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers to support roadmap development, strategic planning, prioritization, and delivery of business-focused solutions.
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements documentation, user story development, and benefit realization planning.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as APIs, automation platforms, data solutions, reporting tools such as Power BI, and familiarity with AI concepts and practical business applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide Product Owners, promote product management best practices, balance strategic planning with successful execution, and experience working within SAFe or similar Agile frameworks.
