The Opportunity
The Software Development Engineer I is responsible for developing and enhancing products that improve platform efficiency, automation, and reliability across the Enterprise Workload Scheduler. This role contributes to the design, implementation, and maintenance of scheduling capabilities that support critical enterprise workloads. This is an exciting opportunity to build and enhance large‑scale scheduling solutions, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help modernize a core platform that enables reliable, secure, and efficient execution of business‑critical processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software components and automation features for the Enterprise Workload Scheduler.
  • Create enhancements that improve platform efficiency, reliability, and operational visibility.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability of solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to design and deliver scheduling solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues through code and system analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1+ years of software development experience writing, testing, and maintaining code.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or similar) used in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and participating in code reviews.
  • Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling or workload automation tools (e.g., IBM Workload Scheduler or similar).
  • Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting used in DevOps or platform engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
