The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to support the Employee Benefits business by transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The role focuses on business intelligence, reporting, analytics, process improvement, and the use of AI-powered tools to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Analytics
- Analyze business challenges and opportunities within the Employee Benefits line of business and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support the integration of data analytics and data-driven decision-making into business planning processes.
- Continuously improve reporting and analytical processes through automation and simplification initiatives.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to analyze data, identify trends, and generate business insights.
Business Reporting & Intelligence
- Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions to support key business decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy through reconciliation and validation exercises across multiple departments.
- Develop insightful visualizations and dashboards using Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI, to support Employee Benefits business needs.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar analytics or reporting role.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation using large datasets and external data sources.
- Experience working with databases, dashboards, and analytical reporting tools.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- Working knowledge of SQL and DAX; exposure to Python, R, or machine learning concepts is an advantage.
- Experience within the insurance industry, particularly in group life and medical insurance.
