The Director, Enterprise Engagement and Enablement leads MetLife’s global approach to workforce and leader readiness, change activation, and adoption across enterprise transformation priorities. The role will initially focus heavily on AI fluency, partnering closely with Learning, Technology, and cross-functional teams to ensure capability-building efforts build readiness, confidence, and responsible use at scale.
- Shape and deliver MetLife’s global enterprise enablement strategy to strengthen workforce and leader readiness, change activation, and adoption across evolving business priorities and new ways of working.
- Establish repeatable enablement standards, playbooks, and operating practices that create consistency, governance, and scalability across enterprise transformation efforts.
- Define readiness priorities and drive enterprise-wide enablement approaches that help employees and leaders translate transformation into practical action, sustained use, and measurable business impact.
- Oversee high-impact change and adoption initiatives, including a strong first-year focus on AI fluency, helping leaders and employees apply tools responsibly, redesign workflows and connect use to business outcomes.
- Partner closely with Learning, Communications, Technology, and business teams to align capability-building, messaging, tools, and support around enterprise priorities and adoption outcomes.
- Equip leaders to create clarity, translate enterprise priorities into team-level action, and reinforce accountability and adoption through change.
- Define and track success measures such as readiness, adoption, time-to-proficiency, and sustained use to evaluate impact and continuously improve enterprise enablement efforts as business and workforce needs evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with the ability to apply strong business judgment and enterprise thinking to enablement and transformation work.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise enablement, change activation, transformation, organizational effectiveness, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives that require stakeholder alignment, change activation, behavior change, and sustained adoption at scale.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and translate strategy into clear priorities, messaging, and action.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and partner effectively across HR, communications, technology, learning, and business teams in a complex global organization.
- Demonstrates strong learning agility and curiosity—continuously exploring and applying new tools, including AI, to improve effectiveness, accelerate outcomes, and evolve how work gets done.
- Experience leading enablement or transformation efforts related to AI, digital adoption, or other technology-driven change.
- Strong ability to align enterprise priorities with role-based enablement, leader action, and adoption support that drive practical team-level change.
- Track record of building leader capability and navigating ambiguity in complex, global organizations.
The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 - $171,700. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
