About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team as a Business Analyst Intern with a dual focus on finance and research. In this role, you will build foundational financial modeling skills while exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) and automation can enhance forecasting, market research, and strategic real estate decision-making. You will also partner across the organization to stay current on emerging AI solutions and align efforts with other enterprise teams. This is a part-time internship running from September 2025 to December 2025. Interns are expected to work ~20 hours per week and go into the 200 Park (NY) office two days a week on a schedule agreed to with their manager.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling with an Eye Toward AI & Automation

  • Build foundational financial models to support capital planning, lease transactions, and strategic real estate decisions
  • Develop lease vs. own scenarios, perform NPV/IRR analysis, and forecast occupancy costs
  • Explore opportunities to enhance models with AI tools and automation for improved efficiency and insight

Research Coordination & Market Intelligence Delivery

  • Coordinate with brokers and internal teams to collect and synthesize market data
  • Establish a regular cadence to deliver market updates to the Head of Real Estate
  • Leverage AI-enabled platforms to streamline data collection and improve accuracy of trend analysis
  • Maintain a library of economic, labor, and real estate data to support strategic planning

AI Technology Exploration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Research and evaluate new AI technologies relevant to the real estate lifecycle, including tools for forecasting, site selection, and risk modeling
  • Collaborate with the internal Technology team and Real Estate Investments to understand enterprise-wide AI initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to pilot or align real estate use cases with broader innovation efforts across functions 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or data analytics
  • Strong interest in AI and its application in real estate and financial analysis
  • Proficient in Excel with a desire to advance modeling and automation skills
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication abilities
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Python, or SQL
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or other automation platforms)

Experience or coursework in market research or real estate analytics tools (e.g., CoStar, CBRE EA, JLL)
