Role Value Proposition

The Compensation Design & Field Support Analyst will play a supporting role in helping MetLife establish financial plan metrics, track and monitor achievement for a variety of different compensation plans within Group Benefits.  Primary responsibilities will include financial modeling, forecasting, tracking, reporting and detailed analysis. The right person will have strong financial acumen, reporting experience, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across functional areas and with different levels. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Create and manage a detailed financial model that incorporates complex and evolving baseline assumptions. 
  • Develop creative, effective, robust, user-friendly management reporting and tools that can be scaled across the organization
  • Utilize data analytics toolsets such as Alteryx to help provide leadership dashboards that support the decision-making process
  • Act as a finance partner for all data requests to obtain one source of the truth
  • Provide thought leadership and financial modeling support on business case development
  • Liaise with business to ensure reported results are visible in the financials and monitor the metrics related to non-financial program achievements 
  • Develop and maintain all compensation data with reports based on industry compensation trends tied with LIMRA. 
  • Managed risk assessment analysis for Group Benefits 
  • Identify program financial trends, issues, and risks, providing guidance to senior leadership
  • Apply strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve challenges 
  • Promote use of knowledge management and other sharing processes for documentation
  • Data Transformation: Use Alteryx and ETL techniques to extract data from various sources, transform it into a structured format, and load it into databases or data warehouses.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Data Cleansing: Cleanse and pre-process data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI, presenting data in a meaningful way to stakeholders.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, provide data-driven insights, and support decision-making processes.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills 

Required:

  • 2+ years financial analysis and modeling experience in public or private company environment 
  • Microsoft Excel with proven experience in building complex financial models. Excellent knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
  • Alteryx: Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer, utilizing workflows for data blending, data preparation, and advanced analytics.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Proficiency in ETL processes and tools, extracting data from diverse sources, transforming it, and loading it into target systems.
  • Data Visualization Tools: Hands on with data visualization tools like Power BI, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret and integrate financial information
  • Ability to incorporate Enterprise-wide Finance knowledge into broader based strategies
  • Experienced in project planning and execution with a service-based approach
  • Exceptional, analytical, prioritization, presentation development and program management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation needed to build partnerships and work successfully with functional and regional Business, Finance and IT teams 
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple large, complex projects
  • Prior experience with financial and management reporting, including an understanding of financial practices, processes, and organizational structures is preferred
The expected salary range for this position is $73,000 - $85,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
