The Opportunity

The Communications Consultant, Global Government Affairs, will play a key role in shaping and executing strategic communications that advance the company’s public policy priorities, regulatory positions and reputation among policymakers, regulators, trade associations and other stakeholders. This individual will collaborate with various functions and regions within Global Government Affairs, including policy subject matter experts and external affairs teams to ensure consistent, credible and effective messaging on legislative, regulatory and political issues affecting the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage internal/external communications for government affairs and policy initiatives (briefs, talking points, exec messaging, stakeholder materials).
  • Draft, edit, and align content for policymakers, regulators, and partners; advise enterprise comms on policy, regulatory, and political issues.
  • Support public policy engagement (forums, briefings, trade associations) with remarks, presentations, and policy summaries.
  • Monitor political and policy developments; produce timely updates and maintain consistent tone, branding, and messaging.
  • Contribute to digital/social content and media relations messaging; support PAC communications and engagement efforts.  


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong writing/editing skills with ability to simplify complex policy issues for diverse audiences.
  • Deep understanding of policy, regulatory, and political processes, including media and emerging platforms.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and managing cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Sound judgment with strong awareness of political context, reputation management, and key influencers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and client-business dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (design tools a plus).

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $89,700 - $119,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
