Description and Requirements
The Role:
· Assess the risks that fall within his own authority and prepares assessment of cases that fall above own authority and refer them to the Manager – Underwriting with appropriate recommendations.
· Documents important developments of the application, and record comments in chronological and concise manner.
· Screens claims (Death, Contestable, PTD, etc.…) and refer to Manager – Underwriting/ Regional Underwriting Manager with appropriate comments and conclusions.
· Maintains standards of underwriting decisions that are consistent, equitable and prudent, per established company guidelines.
· Gets work done within established service guidelines.
· Follow up on applications pending requirements and policies pending delivery per set guidelines, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken promptly.
· Ensures that medical examinations are performed in accordance with company standards.
· Maintains close association with the Field Force and attends promptly and professionally to their enquiries.
· Inform the underwriting decisions to the agents by explaining the logic behind those decisions.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Excellent command of MS office especially Excel.
- Very good command in spoken and written English.
- Time management skills.
- High Observations skills.
- High analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Decision Making & effective negotiation skills.
