Job Description
Business System Analyst (BSA) is the role that collect, document and manage business requirements. BSAs act as a primary liaison between business users and AD project team, manage user expectations, changes to requirements and project scope.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements, create proper data solutions that meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Participate in the design of data architecture, data structure, data modeling, data transformation, storage, security model of data platform (both Hadoop and Azure Data platform)
- Create conceptual data model, logical data model, physical data models. Perform data profiling and system analysis to validate the data models.
- Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
- Discover metadata of the source database and analyze existing business systems, including value patterns and distributions, key candidates, foreign-key candidates, data flows, and functional dependencies
- Interfaces with internal/external teams and functions to provide business solutions to meet business requirements
- Manager user expectations and requirements scope
- Lead requirements elicitation and definition
- Provide estimates for work efforts on projects and ongoing forecasting
- Manage working relationships with business and IT to ensure that the solutions are developed, managed and completed on schedule.
- Contribute to user guides, reference manuals, training materials, and code release artifacts as appropriate
- Perform validation and verification of data model. 
- Maintain Data Quality and Integrity.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required

Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience 
- 5 years of experience as Business Systems Analysts or similar role in Insurance industry

Skills:
- Strong data/system analytics skills using various coding language
- Proficient in SQL, data types, data structures, data modeling
- Good knowledge and experience in Azure Synapse, Azure CosmosDB, Azure Function Apps, Azure ServiceBus, ADLS, or similar products
- Good understanding of insurance industry
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferable:
- Understanding of scala/spark and related big data processing framework and tools
- Experience of PowerBI, QlikSense and other BI tools
- Understanding of REST API, ETL, Salesforce, stream data processing, Change Data Capture, and popular BI tools is preferred
- Understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Master Data Management is preferred

Language:
- Japanese: Advanced (JLPT N1 equivalent)
- English: Intermediate

Personality:
- Detailed and precise, able to drive alone the design and development of complex system
- Able to understand non-technical specification and transform to IT requirements
- Able to adapt to users’ needs but also assertive enough to navigate complex and demanding continuously growing environment
- Good prioritization skills and project management skills. Able to absorb and handle multiple requests at the same time
- Willing to learn new technologies and pick up challenging work
- Team player
