Description and Requirements

Job Purpose

Be responsible for researching, advising on, reviewing and handling legal matters arising from the Company’s operations; ensuring timely legal support to relevant departments; contributing to compliance with applicable laws and internal regulations; and minimizing legal risks across the Company’s activities.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory

  • Update and research new legal regulations relevant to the Company’s operations, and communicate them to relevant departments.
  • Research applicable laws and internal regulations in order to provide legal advice to departments on matters related to the Company’s operations.
  • Research applicable laws and provide legal opinions as required by the Regional/Global teams.

Drafting and Reviewing Documents

  • Research, develop and update the Company’s legal templates and documents, including but not limited to contracts, agreements, processes, regulations, powers of attorney and internal policies.
  • Draft and review the Company’s legal documents, including but not limited to contracts, agreements, and documents related to the Members’ Council such as meeting minutes, resolutions and other related materials.

Handling Legal Matters (Complaints, Disputes and Litigation)

  • Review case files, provide legal opinions, prepare and draft relevant documents, and coordinate with competent authorities in handling legal matters as assigned by the line manager.
  • Coordinate with external law firms or legal advisors on specific matters as assigned.

Conduct Other Assigned Duties

  • Draft and prepare materials and participate in legal training and communication activities.
  • Compile and finalize reports assigned.
  • File and organize the Company’s legal documents and records.
  • Participate in Regional/Global projects.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a university in Vietnam.
  • At least 2 years of experience working at a law firm or in an in-house legal department. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in: (i) insurance, finance or banking; (ii) drafting documents for the Members’ Council and Board of Directors; and (iii) handling disputes, complaints and litigation matters.
  • Solid foundation in law, with preference for familiarity with the Civil Code, Law on Enterprises, Commercial Law, Labor Code, Civil Procedure Code and Criminal Procedure Code.
  • Strong legal drafting and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, with the ability to consolidate, analyze and assess legal risks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Careful, responsible and proactive in work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or TOEIC 800 and above).
