The Group Benefits (GB) organization is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and management of MetLife's industry leading U.S. employee benefits business. Within this organization, the Life Pricing team plays a critical role in ensuring competitive, compliant, and sustainable pricing across the Life portfolio.
The Opportunity:
This role will serve as a senior pricing leader and product owner with a primary focus on National Accounts, supporting complex, high‑profile clients and distribution partners. The Director will provide actuarial leadership across pricing strategy, assumption governance, regulatory filings, and underwriting partnership, with particular emphasis on large, sophisticated cases, custom plan designs, and client‑specific solutions.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future:
· Lead pricing strategy and methodology for National Account Life business, including large and complex cases.
· Provide actuarial guidance on non‑standard plan designs, exceptions, and escalated underwriting decisions.
· Support Sales and Account Management with RFPs, RFIs, client‑specific analyses, and competitive insights.
· Own pricing assumptions, experience studies, and governance for supported products.
· Oversee pricing and underwriting tools, ensuring alignment with experience, underwriting requirements, and market needs.
· Lead regulatory filings, actuarial documentation, and illustration compliance as required.
· Communicate pricing decisions and methodology clearly to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.
· Mentor and guide actuarial staff supporting National Account pricing.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):
· ASA required; FSA strongly preferred.
· 7+ years of actuarial experience, with significant experience in Group Life or related products.
· Demonstrated experience supporting large, complex, or National Account type business.
· Strong understanding of pricing methodology, assumption governance, and regulatory requirements.
· Proven ability to partner effectively with Underwriting, Sales, and senior stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial audiences.
· Experience with pricing and modeling tools (e.g., Prophet, Alteryx) strongly preferred.
· Advanced level of english
