The Data Team is integrated in Transformation, Strategy & Delivery department and is responsible to provide trusted information, ensuring data governance, integrity, and ethical use to support agile decisions, improve the customer journey, and provide informed business responses by collecting, analyzing and transforming data into valuable information.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data & Analytics Specialist to join our Iberia Data Team to be part of a transformational and ambitious journey, being a reference in this crucial area for MetLife.
The Data & Analytics Specialist will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, support data governance initiatives, and contribute to the Organization’s data strategy, implementing solutions that enhance our analytical approach linked to business growth.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Implement and enhance Iberia Data strategy defined on our ambitious data roadmap, promoting a data-driven culture.
- Work on different Data Products through the design and execution of database queries, using BI tools, to perform analysis in response to business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements and goals ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and objectives
- Analyze our data ecosystem and interpret data to identify trends, patters, and insights, leveraging data to enhance business value through the usage of Data use cases.
- Collaborate with our global Data Science team to develop and industrialize predictive data science models as well as monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make adjustments as necessary.
- Establish robust data governance frameworks to foster data quality, data ethics and implement data glossary.
- Foster innovation using data-driven insights to create competitive advantages aligned with organization’s data strategy.
- Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning and AI in order to apply that knowledge to enhance existing methodologies.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Degree/Master’s degree in data science or a related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics
- Minimum of 2 year experience in a Data analyst role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools as PowerBI, SQL, Excel and data governance tools
- Ability to understand and interconnect data across various applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail
- Good written and spoken English
