Jordan’s Risk and Compliance Function is part of Global Risk Management function (GRM) at MetLife that is responsible for managing risks across the enterprise. The purpose of the Risk and Compliance Analyst position is to support the Risk and Compliance manager to ensure that non-financial risks are appropriately identified, measured, managed and reported accordingly to support sound business processes.
The Opportunity
Risk and Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Risk and Compliance function, company’s Non-financial risk assessment by conducting risk-based, second line control validation and oversight activities to identify non-financial risks and escalates key matters to Management and the appropriate governance bodies and work with risk owners on identifying corrective action plans for gaps identified.
Success in this role requires Ability to work and adapt in changing environment and to deliver across multiple deadlines, detail-oriented, knowledge of principles of compliance and operational risk management, Fluent verbal and written communication skills Arabic and English, Confident and enthusiastic self-starter, willingness to challenge and influence others at all levels.
The Risk & Compliance Analyst is responsible for The Risk and Compliance Analyst is responsible for:
• Responsible for supporting the Risk and Compliance function, company’s Non-financial risk assessment by conducting risk-based, second line control validation and oversight activities to identify non-financial risks and escalates key matters to Management and the appropriate governance bodies and work with risk owners on identifying corrective action plans for gaps identified.
ü Support the Risk and Compliance manager in ensuring that the business in the country of operation is conducted compliantly and within the risk appetite thus avoiding any negative impact in the main areas (not limited to): (1) Anti-money laundering (“AML”) risk, including sanctions screening, suspicious activity/transaction monitoring, customer identification process and suspicious activity reporting, (2) Anti-bribery and Corruption (ABC) risk, including third-party contracting, gifts and entertainment, hiring of governmental officials, charitable donations, sponsorship and ex-gratia payments, (3) Regulatory interactions and filings, regulatory change management, individuals and entity licensing, and legally required training obligations, (4) Customer protection and process execution risk, including sales suitability, sales supervision, misleading sales materials or sales communications, sales compensation, and sales-related fraud and other prohibited activities, and customer benefit payment risk, including transactions processing and compliance with customer contracts, and (5) Privacy risk, including personal data incident management and privacy risk assessments and third-party risk management as it relates to privacy, and privacy considerations in system and product design.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- CAMS certificate (Certified anti-money laundering specialist) is required
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in financial services (ideally Risk and Protection/Insurance Company but this is not essential)
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills Arabic and English
- Knowledge of principles of compliance and operational risk management
