The Opportunity 

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join MetLife Spain as Claims Manager. Initially, the Claims Manager role will focus on leading the Claims department, with the opportunity to expand into broader operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a track record of transformational leadership, and extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in navigating periods of significant change.

  • Claims Management: Oversee the Claims department's operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of claims. 
  • Operational Leadership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Transformation Initiatives: Lead and manage transformational projects to drive innovation and growth within the company. 
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the operations team. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators to ensure operational goals are met. 

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Transformational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change in a dynamic environment. 
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of claims management, underwriting, and other key insurance operations. 
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. 
  • Fluent Spanish and business level English
