Description and Requirements

Associate Software Development Engineer  

The main responsibility of the role is to assist in developing, testing, implementation and support of application systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, and develop backend, mobile or web-based applications to support MetLife’s business and digitization initiatives in Nepal.
  • Work closely with internal product teams to build enhancements, new features, capabilities on MetLife Nepal applications, solutions, and platforms.
  • Design, enhancement and tuning of database tables, stored procedures, triggers, scheduler, etc.
  • Evaluate existing applications and perform updates and modifications.
  • Collaborate with local vendors on application development, integration, configuration, and testing.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Monitor system performance and job logs.

Educational Description: At least a bachelor’s in computer engineering or equivalent.

Experience Required: More than or equal to 3 years of experience in software development.Java developer, MS-SQL database, Azure resources.

Reports To: Country Head, Information Technology.

Offered Salary: As per Company rule.
