Position Summary

• Responsible for Monitor activities for Functional IDs, Admin IDs, Failed Logon attempt and IDs with Greater than Read access on Business-Critical Databases.
• Detect inappropriate modifications to production data

Implement a process for monitoring, logging, investigating, and responding to inappropriate modifications to production data.

• Performing Vulnerability Assessments on databases and reporting on findings and scores.
• Performing Threat and Outlier Analysis on Database logs and events.
• Discovery and classification of Sensitive Data.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform Database Monitoring on all the in-scope inventory
2. In-depth knowledge of Database/Guardium (Must have)
3. Good to have SonarG/ Cloud/ ITIL (Preferred)
4. Check and verify Logs on a timely basis and take appropriate actions
5. Follow-up with stakeholders on all the valid exceptions reported
6. Share Weekly/Bi-Weekly /Monthly BAU/Ad hoc reports with all required stakeholders
7. Guardium Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly Reporting
8. Maintain / update Guardium Version Upgrade Schedules
9. Prepare for Guardium Upgrades and coordinate within various MetLife teams
10. Acquire correct Guardium Configuration Information
11. Create Service Now Tickets based on need  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• BE/B. Tech preferred with database knowledge

Experience

• 4-5 years of Experience/Knowledge in Database Monitoring & Database domain, with understanding of Guardium tool 

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

• Strong understanding of Guardium tools and implementation along with Database Integration
• CISSP/CISA/RHEL/OCP/MSP certifications preferred (Not mandatory)
• Data center and domain expertise required to analyze threats and mitigation strategies
• Check and verify Logs on timely basis and take appropriate actions
• Assess groups and Id’s for apt access under Guardium
• Maintain / update / keep accurate Guardium Version 
• Cyber Security Tools/Database Security/RDBMS platforms knowledge 
• 1 or more years of Microsoft Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• 1 or more years of Hands-on Database Monitoring Tool
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good analytical and investigative ability

Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training – if required)

• Guardium knowledge is mandatory
• SonarG/Cloud/ITIL – Good to have 
• Database knowledge is mandatory
