Description and Requirements

The Team You Will Join

The team is responsible for preparing and reviewing MetLife Europe’s best estimate assumptions across several reporting frameworks, including Solvency II, IFRS17, VNB, US GAAP, and LDTI. In addition to demographic assumptions, the team delivers expense and economic assumptions and plays a central role in various actuarial processes, such as reviewing newly developed insurance products.

Our Warsaw office, located in the city center, serves as the Center of Excellence for the Europe region and also supports broader EMEA and global functions. It is home to diverse Financial and Operations teams, including the Actuarial group.

The Opportunity

As an Actuarial Analyst / Junior Actuarial Analyst within the Warsaw Actuarial Center of Excellence, you will play a key role in supporting the review of assumptions under Solvency II, IFRS, VNB, US GAAP, and LDTI reporting frameworks, as well as conducting data analysis and risk assessment. This position focuses on working with large data sets and providing meaningful insights to inform business decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of actuarial calculations and reports—primarily under Solvency II and IFRS17 standards—and assist with assumption reviews for the Prophet model. Success in this role depends on strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with the Head of the Actuarial Function and the modelling teams in an environment that values collaboration, respect, and diverse perspectives.

You will have the opportunity to participate in our unique Actuarial Development Program, which offers dedicated study time, access to study materials, and rewards for successfully passing actuarial exams.
