The Opportunity

Coordinates workflow and provides technical expertise in the creation of timely, high quality and compliant proposals, offering proposal expertise to Sales in pursuit of business for employer groups.

 

Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, project management, writing and communication skills and the ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously. Previous experience in the employee benefits marketplace and/or knowledge of the proposal process preferred. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Provides professional proposal packages to sales by delivering timely, high quality and compliant responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for private and public sector opportunities.
  • Creates concise and accurate case-specific responses for inclusion in proposal packages by accessing question and answer databases, conducting research with product and functional experts, and scripting responses to inquiries. 
  • Identifies and implements process changes to gain efficiencies and improve workflows.
  • Flexes to support other administrative units or other Proposal Teams during their peak seasons.
  • Protects MetLife's legal position by ensuring all information in proposal packages accurately reflects current capabilities and complies with legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements.  

Required Qualifications
  • Strong project management and writing skills 
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage competing project deliverables on a daily basis
  • 3-5+ years relevant business experience
  • High school degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree


 

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
