The Team You Will Join

At MetLife, data isn’t just a tool - it is a catalyst for growth. As part of our Data & Analytics organization, you’ll unlock trusted insights that drive bold decisions, power personalized customer experiences, and deliver lasting business impact. Your skills in AI, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics will help solve complex challenges, scale solutions globally, and fuel innovation across every region. We’re building the future of data - one that’s governed responsibly, engineered for scalability, and designed for growth. When you join us, you’re not just supporting the business - you’re empowering it. Let’s transform insight into impact and data into action, together.

The Opportunity

The Lead Data Solutions Architect is responsible for defining, shaping, and scaling enterprise data and analytics solutions that enable business process reengineering (BPR) and platform modernization, ensuring data is treated as a strategic enterprise asset across MetLife’s Corporate Functions in the United States.

Guided by our purpose – always with you, building a more confident future – and MetLife’s New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns, and all‑weather performance, this is an exciting opportunity to design data‑driven solutions that power contract lifecycle management, actuarial, and other enterprise transformations. In this role, you will translate future‑state process designs into scalable, governed data architectures and analytics capabilities—enabling transparency, operational insight, compliance, and enterprise reporting aligned to MetLife standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise data and analytics solution design supporting BPR initiatives, ensuring alignment to future‑state process designs and business outcomes
  • Create end‑to‑end data, metadata, analytics, and reporting architectures by translating business process artifacts and platform decisions into clear technical requirements
  • Oversee data standardization efforts, including enterprise‑critical data elements, metadata definitions, and analytics use cases across the full lifecycle of contracts and related domains
  • Manage cross‑functional partnerships with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Reinsurance, Actuarial, Technology, and CLM platform teams to ensure data and analytics are embedded into system and process designs
  • Develop scalable, cloud‑native data solutions and AI‑enabled use cases that support operational visibility, compliance monitoring, risk management, and enterprise reporting

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, computer science, data science, or a related field, with demonstrated application to enterprise‑scale data and analytics solution delivery.
  • Modern data platforms and architecture experience (e.g., Azure, Lakehouse or data mesh patterns, batch and streaming ingestion), applied to large‑scale, cloud‑native solutions.
  • Strong solution architecture and translation skills, with the ability to convert complex business process redesign into actionable data strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • Proven stakeholder influence and communication capability, effectively partnering with senior business and technology leaders in matrixed environments and experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models across multiteam, multi‑year enterprise initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience designing or delivering enterprise data, analytics, or data product solutions in complex organizations
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management, Legal Operations, Procurement, or document‑intensive domains, including contract data models, metadata, and analytics/reporting solutions
  • Background in regulated or risk‑sensitive environments such as insurance or financial services, with exposure to data governance, quality, and control standards.
  • Understanding and knowledge of GenAI and Machine Learning.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $159,800. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
